This week: Rangers responded to several incidents of elephants crossing the crop proetection fence, fence attendants made multiple repairs to posts // Rangers made contact with people working on a farm and were ordered to leave as they had no relevant documents // Rangers responded to a vehicle accident with a giraffe, person was transported to local hospital and treated, the giraffe was not located // Rangers arrested a suspect with 5 bags of charcoal // Rangers prevented an elephant crop raid // Rangers located an 84 acre farm being cleared, more to follow // Joint operation response to a lion that killed a cow in a boma and injured the herder, herder was treated and discharged

28-04 April / May 2025
This week: Rangers participated in a joint operation to search for a lost child // Rangers intercepted 2 borehole drilling rigs without relevant documents // Rangers responded to the report of a human fatality by elephant at farm // Joint operation led to the arrest of a suspect for illegal logging // Later in the week, the lost child safely made it to a boma where rangers picked him up and returned him home

This week: A report of an injured elephant led to a joint operation and successful treatment of an elephant with an ankle injury // Rangers participated in a joint operation response to a lion with cubs that was breaking into bomas to kill livestock, she was darted and collared // Joint operation led to the follow up of several development violations // Rangers responded to a fire and successfully put it out, 30 acres approximately burned // Rangers prevented multiple elephant crop raids // An elephant with an injury to its leg was reported, joint response led to determining the rangers would continue to monitor // Joint operation led to the confirmation of a fresh elephant carcass, cause of death unknown, no physical injuries, tusks recovered, vet took samples // Joint operation led to the arrest of 1 suspect with 74kg of sandalwood
