Our 2026–2030 Strategic Plan

For more than 30 years, Big Life Foundation has worked alongside local communities to protect the wildlife and wild lands of the Greater Amboseli Ecosystem. Today, this extraordinary landscape is changing rapidly—and the decisions made in the coming years will help determine its future.

Our 2026–2030 Strategic Plan sets out Big Life’s vision for the next five years: building on what has worked, adapting to new challenges, and expanding the community-led solutions needed to keep this ecosystem open, connected, and productive for generations to come.

At the heart of the strategy are four interconnected priorities:

• Secure and restore priority habitats
• Protect wildlife and promote coexistence
• Deliver lasting economic and social value for communities
• Strengthen governance and landscape management

Together, these priorities advance our mission of partnering with local communities to protect iconic species and conserve habitat in the Greater Amboseli Ecosystem—and our vision of a future where nature thrives and communities prosper.
