This week: Joint operation led to the arrest of 2 suspects in separate incidents for illegal activity in national park // Rangers and partners responded to multiple fires in national park and community land, contained with support from air tractor, operations continued on some fires // Rangers responded to multiple elephant crop raids and fence breakages in several areas, fence attendants made repairs // Rangers and drone unit prevented elephant crop raids in several instances // Rangers responded to reports of lions killing livestock in several locations, calmed community members // Rangers responded to a person injured by a lion.

01–07 September 2025
This week: Joint operations led to the arrest of 5 suspects in 2 incidents, including recovery of ivory and python skins // Rangers and partners responded to and contained 2 fires in national park areas, teams also conducted mop-up of smoldering logs // Joint operation with partners treated 1 injured elephant with a spear wound // Rangers responded to multiple reports of elephants crossing the crop protection fence, causing damage to posts, wires, and crops, fence attendants made repairs // Rangers and drone units prevented elephant crop raids in several instances // Rangers responded to reports of elephants damaging private fences and community farms, and pushed them back in several cases.

25–31 August 2025
This week: Rangers and partners conducted multiple joint operations to remove giraffes trapped in private fenced farms // Rangers recovered 12 snares in national park // Rangers and partners arrested 6 suspects for bushmeat poaching of a gazelle inside a private farm // Rangers responded to multiple fires in national park, some contained, others ongoing, with one ranger injured during operations, treated and discharged // Rangers and drone unit prevented or controlled elephant crop raids in several instances, though damage was reported // Rangers pushed elephants away from settlements and responded to community reports of damage to trees and water tanks // Fence attendants repaired multiple incidents of elephants crossing or damaging the crop protection fence.

18-24 August 2025
This week: Joint intelligence operations led to the recovery of over 28 snares and the arrest of 1 suspect with python skin // Rangers intercepted vehicles carrying illegal materials and logs // A suspect was arrested with 148 kg of sandalwood, and another operation recovered 153 kg abandoned at the scene // Rangers and drone units prevented elephant crop raids and pushed back elephants in several incidents, fence attendants made repairs // Elephants damaged community farms, water infrastructure, and private fences in multiple areas // A serval was rescued and treated for injuries by KWS vet teams

11-17 August 2025
This week: Joint operation led to the arrest of 1 suspect with 13 pieces of elephant tusks weighing 12kg, and 2 suspects with bushmeat // Rangers recovered 15 snares in two incidents and freed livestock entangled in snares // Rangers halted illegal borehole drilling, and responded to illegal logging and development attempts // Multiple incidents of elephants crossing the crop protection fence, damaging posts and wires; rangers and drone units pushed elephants away from settlements and prevented crop raids in several instances // Rangers responded to reports of injured zebra and giraffe, and monitored elephants causing crop damage
