This week: Rangers and partners continued monitoring a treated lion, condition reported improved // Drone unit responded to elephant near settlements, farms, school and crop protection fence in several instances, fence attendants made repairs // Rangers responded to a report of 2 pupils chased by elephant, 1 sustained minor injuries and both were taken to hospital // Rangers and partners monitored lions near settlements in several instances // Rangers halted development activity for lack of relevant documents in 4 incidents // Rangers moved livestock from disallowed areas in 2 incidents // Rangers assisted a vulnerable community member in 2 instances

This week: Joint operation led to the arrest of 4 suspects in 2 incidents with suspected illegal plants and 3 pieces of elephant tusk // Joint operation led to the successful treatment of an injured elephant, rangers continued monitoring // Rangers recovered 2 elephant tusks and a tusk fragment, weights to be confirmed // Rangers pushed elephant away from farms, settlements, and the crop protection fence in several instances, fence attendants made repairs // Rangers prevented multiple elephant crop raids // Rangers stopped ongoing fencing on a farm without relevant documents // Rangers continued monitoring a treated lion, an injured lioness, and an injured hyena, more to follow // Rangers supported community members after a person was reported missing and later found safe // Rangers supported community members in recovering 30 missing cows
