
Albert Ford “Boo” Hausser is an independent rancher in south Texas. Hausser has served as chairman of Friends of the Texas Governor’s Mansion, Los Compadres de San Antonio National Historical Park, boards of the Center for American History, the Chancellor’s Advisory Council of TCU, Scenic Texas and the Witte Museum. He is a Director Emeritus of Friends of the Texas Governor’s Mansion and the Texas Historical Foundation.
Hausser received his bachelor's degree from Southwestern University in Georgetown.
He received the George Christian Volunteer of the Year Award for outstanding volunteer service to historic preservation in Texas, the Historic Rehabilitation Award from Preservation Texas and the Historic Preservation Building Award from the San Antonio Conservation Society for the restoration of the 1847 Arcadius Steinle House in Castroville, Texas. Hausser is married to Meta Lewis Hausser, has one son and three grandchildren. He is devoted to wildlife conservation in Texas and Kenya through the Big Life Foundation.
