A scholarship can transform a child’s life. That transformation is even more impactful when their school is properly resourced.

Unfortunately, many schools across East Africa are underfunded, and Amboseli is no exception.

Noosidan Primary School is situated near Big Life’s headquarters in Mbirikani. 93 students were previously crammed into unfinished buildings that desperately needed upgrades for the health and well-being of the school’s students and teachers.

Thanks to the remarkable generosity of a donor, Big Life has been able to build two new colorful classrooms with toilets, water storage, and electric fencing. The fencing will help to protect students and the compound from local wildlife.

Noosidan means “place of goodness,” and is now living up to its name.

The difference is palpable. These bright young children now have a safe and clean environment in which to learn.

We have supported school infrastructure projects across the ecosystem – from constructing girls’ dormitories to upgrading latrines. But this is the first primary school we have built, and we plan to add to it in the future, continuing to improve the health and education of the students who attend.

Thanks to YOU, our supporters, we are building the foundations for quality education in Maasailand.
