Big Life originally began operations in southern Kenya, and this is the largest project area in terms of funding and scope.

Big Life Kenya's headquarters is on Mbirikani Group Ranch, near Amboseli National Park, and this is where all administration and support staff are based. The HQ includes a full vehicle service center, tracker dog unit, central radio room, and employee housing for management staff.

This is the nerve center of all Kenyan operations, including management and logistics for hundreds of local Maasai rangers, more than 40 permanent outposts and tent-based field units, 13 vehicles, and aerial surveillance—protecting 2 million acres of wilderness in the Amboseli-Tsavo-Kilimanjaro ecosystem of East Africa.
