Catherine combines her experience in the fields of clean energy, human rights and non-profit development in the US, Asia, Central America and Europe with years of database management. In joining Big Life, Catherine has found the inner circle on her Venn diagram of passions: Environmental Care, Animal Protection, and Community Engagement. Her first trip to Africa was to the Ngorongoro Crater, which made an indelible impression, and she is delighted to be able to contribute to the critical work of Big Life.
Previous work includes Clean Air Task Force, the Colorado Humane Society, the National Center for Social Sciences and Humanities in Hanoi, the United Nations in NYC and the Irish Centre for Human Rights in Galway. She was also an International Development Fellow with Catholic Relief Services in Tegucigalpa.
Catherine holds a BA in English from Boston College and a MIA in International Security Policy and UN Studies from Columbia University. Outside of work you will find her hiking, camping, and spending as much time as possible in the beautiful Colorado Rockies with her 3 children, 2 dogs, 1 kitty and a rotating menagerie of foster animals.
