Join Oakland Zoo for their 19th annual Celebrating Elephants Gala, in support of the AB 96 campaign: Ivory belongs on Elephants. Guest speaker, Amy Baird, Associate Director for the Big Life Foundation will discuss their ongoing work in the field to protect Africa’s wild lands and the elephant population before it’s too late.
Celebrating Elephants is fun-filled day designed for guests to enjoy and learn about elephants, while helping to save elephants in the wild. Proceeds from the silent auction (on May 16th at our evening event), private elephant barn tours (on May 23rd during our day event), and raffle tickets for great prizes (can be purchased at both the evening and day events) will go to helping elephants in the wild through our conservation partner, the Amboseli Trust for Elephants in Africa.
