Nick Sharp, Head of Technology & Development, Kenya

Nick was born in London and spent his childhood living in the Middle East, Malta and England with frequent visits to East Africa where his father’s family settled in 1915.

He went to school at Marlborough College and then studied computer science at Newcastle University where he also learnt to fly. After working in London developing software solutions and web applications for a number of established clients Nick joined Big Life in Kenya at the beginning of 2012.

His interests are varied and numerous and include photography, flying and travel - he has travelled extensively in Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia.

Nick will be responsible for implementing technical solutions in the field and will be working closely with Richard and the rangers to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations on the ground. He will also be working with the US Big Life web teams to communicate a more clear message about Big Life's operations through a number of digital mediums.
